Privacy Policy

Self Made College is operated by ElderMe LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it. Questions go to hello@mail.selfmade.college.

When you create an account: your email address, your name if you give it, and a password you set. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider. We never see them.

When you buy something: your email address and a record of what you bought. Card details go directly to Square and never reach our servers.

When you ask for a free guide or updates: your email address.

When you ask us to call you: your phone number and email address. Calls may be recorded.

When you use a course: which lessons you have opened and finished, so we can show your progress.

When you visit any page: the page address, where you came from, and whether the request looked automated. We do not store your IP address. To count visitors without identifying anyone, we convert your IP and browser type into a one-way hash using a secret that changes every day, which means the result cannot be traced back to you and cannot be linked across days.

We do not collect your full card number, your date of birth, your address, or any special-category information. We do not buy personal data from anyone, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

To give you access to what you bought, to answer you when you contact us, to send you the guides and updates you asked for, to take payment, and to understand roughly how many people use the site.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that make the site work:

Square - payment processing. Supabase - accounts, course data and file storage. Render - website hosting. Resend - sending email. Twilio - placing phone calls. Printify - fulfilling merchandise orders, when merchandise is available. Anthropic - generating written content and powering automated call conversations.

Each of these only receives what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We email you about things you bought or asked for. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect access to a course you paid for.

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function - keeping you logged in, and remembering that you have entered an access code. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Account and purchase records are kept while your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need them for tax and accounting. Page-view records are kept for up to 24 months. Email addresses collected for updates are kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close your account. Email hello@mail.selfmade.college and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your access to any course you bought.

You can ask us to stop calling or emailing you at any time.

This site is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Traffic to this site is encrypted. Access to customer data is restricted to the accounts that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you if something happens that affects you.

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
